Happy Birthday Dad!
Sending You Birthday Wishes Straight Up To Heaven

Memories of childhood kick in strong today as I go down memory lane. I had a loving father who stood by my side every step of the way. Even though I spent some years without him close to me, it didn’t change a thing.
When I was 5 my parents divorced. My mom decided to move from Indiana to Arizona on a whim. That left me only seeing my dad over summer breaks. At age 11 I chose to move back permanently into my dad’s house again.
When I was away from him he called me before I went to bed and he’d tell me to go out on the porch and so would he at his house. We were 2,000 miles from each other. He’d say “Look up at the north star and so am I. It’s like we’re looking at each other.” — ❤️
That is something I’ll never forget!

Being away from him never changed our connection. Our bond never stopped. He was a father to 4 girls and I was the baby. His pouty little girl. (Apparently I pouted a lot)
He was the best provider to his family. He cherished family more than anything in this world. He never missed a softball game, or a bowling tournament. He was there to cheer me on when no one else was.
