My Calm Love

"The most powerful relationship you will ever have, is the relationship with yourself."

— Steve Maraboli

A calmness travels through my veins, I fill the pieces of these broken chains.

I breathe the air, so soft, so pure. I now have peace inside, I’m sure.

I fly high with the birds, they sing low as I hum. These whistling whispers, it’s the beating of my own drum.

Finally, I see the path that was formed, as I sit on this rock and the calm breaks the storm.

I breathe in, I breathe out. I see life come about. I stand, I stand tall. Now I’m realizing it all.

Life is too short, we mustn’t waste. Just reach for the stars, have just a little taste.

The love, the freedom, the friendship, the life. Don’t hesitate, it’s all much more than strife.

I gasp at the wind as it brushes my face. I steady this unsteady mind with stealth and grace.

Forgive me my love, I’ve come to see, there is so much more than you inside of me.

So I swing from the trees, I sway in the sky. And for you my love, I shall never die.

This love story goes on, as I carry through. I’ll look in the mirror and think of me, not you.

— always love yourself first —

“Find your calm. Be your own love story. Be happy just being you. Have fulfillment and pride in knowing that you loved yourself the most.” — tlw

Seriously! like how can you possibly conduct your class properly with all that going on? To be so inconsolable with no proper support, throwing her into class when clearly there is more going on with that child, insanity.
